Total destruction of our economy! That's what's in store if we don't end Governor Walz' Emergency Powers NOW! Let's open our economy back up and LIBERATE MINNESOTA!

To Governor Walz and legislators:

Whereas, one person does not have the legal authority to remove the rights of Minnesotans protected by our Constitution and Bill of Rights;

Whereas, Governor Walz' emergency powers is devastating our state economy and killing the heart of it - small businesses;

Whereas, the "Stay at Home" order is turning neighbors against neighbors using Walz' hotline;

Whereas, free people can make safe and reasonable accommodations to open businesses during a crisis while still adhering to good medical advice;

THEREFORE be it resolved, We The People of Minnesota demand Governor Walz immediately end his emergency powers;

Be it further resolved, if Governor Walz won't comply, We The People of Minnesota demand the legislature removes his powers and we demand a recorded vote on all motions and bills pertaining to ending Walz' emergency powers.

    Economic ruin over a cold that has a 98% recovery rate? I thought we had a governor not a dictator.

    Enough is enough! We live in a Democracy, where our elected officials are to represent OUR best interest collectively, in ALL areas. This imprisonment is based on hypothetical situations, and assumptions on what may, or may not occur. Businesses are being ruined; domestic abuse and suicides are increasing; and our communities and families are being irreparably changed…

    When an elected official chooses to damage his constituents and a states economy purposely, that elected official needs to be voted out!

    The science says the lock down was not and is not needed. Stop the unconstitutional orders now.

    A Governors Executive Order is NOT the same as a Legislative Law that is binding after being vetted by the lawmakers against the Minnesota State Constitution for validity.

    You have no RIGHT to hold us down.

    Let our people go!

    It is well established that the states may NOT abridge any rights found in the federal Constitution…and no, there are no exceptions for “emergencies”. The precedent this lockdown sets, if allowed to continue, is far more dangerous than any illness.

    I am a criminal defense lawyer, Paul B Ahern, am volunteering to defend individuals charged with the crime of violating to Governor’s Order by engaging in political protest or in religious activities. I am a Republican, but defended protesters during the Republican National Convention (the McCain/Palin year) in night court. This is an important moment in American history Call me if you have been charged. I will defend a few for free and try to find other volunteer attorneys if there are too many. Do NOT list me as a supporter of your cause, but I will defend your right to freedom of speech, religion and assembly in CRIMINAL CASES (no injunctions or lawsuits).

    We should not ask for demand the return of our rights, we should take them back. If a couple million people just went back to work, Walz would be powerless to stop us.

    Covid-19 does not give the govt the right to intrude on the religious practises of the people. It is one thing to make a recommendation for health and safety in public gatherings, another to declare a neighborhood as Muslim and subject the citizens to intrusive indoctrination day and night.

    Mayor Jacob Frey, and the City of Minneapolis, have given an exception to allow Muslim prayers blasted over a loud speaker, into the public space of the Cedar Riverside Neighborhood 5x a day. NO similar concession has been made for any other faith or religious belief. Mayor Frey is giving preferential treatment to the Muslim faith, and infringing on the beliefs and practises of other groups in the neighborhood. He is basically declaring that Cedar Riverside is a Muslim neighborhood, and discriminating against other faiths.

    So much for the separation of church and state! What protection is there for citizens who do not want this religious intrusion? If you live in Cedar Riverside, you are being subjected to religious indoctrination, with no escape. THOUSANDS of citizens are being subjected to Muslim prayer, at all hours of day and night, without consent.

    “According to a news release, Mayor Jacob Frey allowed the noise permit, while the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) paid for the audio equipment.

    The broadcast will be generated from the Dar Al-Hijrah Mosque, where a speaker will be positioned at South Fifth Street and Cedar Avenue. Organizers expect it will reach thousands of residents, from sunrise to shortly after sunset…"

    We can control the spread of the virus and keep people alive and healthy by opening up our businesses. You can’t have one without the other. Without food, housing, utilities, money, etc. we will all be in survival mode and many will die.

    WHY does Gov Waltz have a hotline to report on your neighbors allegedly violating the stay at home order..but you call CPS for child abuse and nothing is done? You report a judge for misconduct and nothing done? You file a grievance against a police officer and are told he is just doing his job, it’s you that is the problem. Where are the priorities here? Because there are abuse of power happening in all levels of gov’t in Minnesota and the people continue to suffer while our rights continue to erode away.

    The impact of Covid-19 is insignificant in Minnesota compared to influenza, smoking and alcohol. Minnesota cannot be compared to New York. My opinion is that the dire situation in the northeast is directly related to the fact that most use mass transit which quickly transmitted the virus just as it did in Chicago. If you look at the rest of the country, the virus is no worse than the flu. There is absolutely no reason to destroy the economy in our state. Last year 118,000 people died from the flu and we didn’t shut down the country. There 480,000 deaths from smoking and 88,000 from alcohol and we didn’t shut down the country for these. My wife and I both contracted Covid-19 and recovered. It was pretty bad, worse than the flu, but we quarantined for 2 weeks and recovered. Last year, I was laid up for 3 weeks with the flu. Let’s stop shouting “fire” in a crowded theater and get back to work.
